Data Deletion Instructions

Complete guide to removing your data from SocialManagerX

Critical Warning

Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. This action will remove ALL your data including:

  • All scheduled and draft posts
  • Connected social media account data
  • Media library and uploaded content
  • Analytics history and reports
  • Team members and collaboration settings
  • Content calendar and planning data

Important Notes

Published Content: Content already published to your social media accounts will NOT be deleted. You must delete published posts directly from each platform. We only remove data stored in SocialManagerX.

  • Social media connection tokens
  • Platform-specific settings
  • Account analytics we've collected
  • Posting permissions and configurations

Content Data

  • Scheduled and draft posts
  • Content calendar entries
  • Hashtag groups and saved templates
  • AI-generated content history

Media Library

  • Uploaded images and videos
  • Graphics and design assets
  • Media folders and organization
  • File metadata and tags

Analytics Data

  • Performance metrics and reports
  • Engagement history
  • Follower growth tracking
  • Best posting time analysis

Team Data

  • Team member accounts
  • Role and permission settings
  • Approval workflow configurations
  • Collaboration history

How to Request Data Deletion

1Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your SocialManagerX account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account → Privacy
  3. Click on "Delete My Account"
  4. Review the data deletion summary
  5. Confirm by entering your password
  6. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

Your account will be immediately deactivated. Data deletion will be completed within 30 days.

2Email Request

Send a deletion request to privacy@socialmanagerx.com with:

  • Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Account username or ID
  • Reason for deletion (optional)

We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days.

3Through Social Media Platforms

If you connected via Facebook Login, you can also initiate deletion through Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find SocialManagerX in your connected apps
  3. Click "Remove" and select "Delete all data"

This will trigger our data deletion callback and remove your data from our servers.

Before You Delete

Export Your Data First

Before deleting, you may want to export your data:

  • Analytics Export: Download your performance reports as CSV/PDF
  • Content Export: Download scheduled posts and captions
  • Media Library: Download all uploaded images and videos
  • Calendar Export: Export your content calendar as iCal

Go to Settings → Export Data to download your data before deletion.

Alternatives to Full Deletion

Disconnect Social Accounts

Remove specific social media connections while keeping your account. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts.

Pause Your Account

Temporarily disable your account without losing data. Your scheduled posts will be paused.

Clear Specific Data

Delete only analytics, media library, or scheduled posts while keeping your account active.

Downgrade Plan

Switch to a free plan instead of deleting. You'll keep basic functionality and your data.
